Where to Buy a Pumpkin in Babylon

This past weekend, I took my adorable little niece to a pumpkin farm for the first time. We got all dressed up in our new fall fashion and off we went. We navigated the animal farm like champs, eat some really yummy hot dogs smothered in chili, shared kettle corn, and grabbed an apple pie and a bag of apples to take home.

We took photos fit for the gram and enjoyed the fresh air on the outskirts of the farm without our masks on. Overall it was a fabulous day and I enjoyed spending time with my favorite Murphy girls.

My daughter turned fourteen this year so I’m skilled at the pumpkin farm festivities. We were at Harbes Family Farm last year, and I got completely lost in the corn maze lucking with a bottle of wine I bought on the property! We’ve been to White Post Farm more times than I should probably admit. But what I learned pretty early on about these fun fall adventures is one thing: don’t buy the pumpkins. The are just too overpriced and the local grocery store really is your best option. In Babylon, I recommend LIDL, pumpkins are $3.99. Yes, $3.99 not $20.99 so you can actually afford to buy enough to decorate the front of your house and carve a few!

If you haven’t been to LIDL, check it out and thank me later.
